Membership

Membership in RITG is limited. This is to provide for the optimal number of members at meetings to hold meaningful discussions.

Membership is open to professional remodelers in good standing, technology professionals, and members of the press. The balance of members is weighted heavily towards remodelers.

To be considered as a membership candidate, you must be sponsored by one of the existing members. To find out how to apply, contact the Membership Chair at Membership@ritg.org.

Benefits include:

• The ability to discuss your technology questions and problems with other remodelers and technology experts, and learn what they know about your issues.
• The ability to have new and exciting technologies presented to you several times a year without the hype or pressure of a trade show or sales pitch.
• The ability to learn from your peers how they get the most from their technology investments and the tricks they have learned.
• Learn the problems other members have had with a technology or provider that looked good but turned out not to be.
• Provide feedback to manufacturers in a meaningful way.
• Meet remodelers interested in leveraging technology in their businesses and technology contacts that may be of value to you.
• Learn which venders and products to go with, and which to stay away from.
• Get opinions from others about something you plan to do with technology in your business.

Obligations of Membership

• Members must be willing to share information they have with other members in the group.
• Members must respect and protect the confidential nature of some of the conversations at meetings and between members.
• Members must actively attend meetings and participate in discussions.
• Members must be willing to take on some organizational responsibilities from time to time.

Membership Fee

If accepted for membership, members must pay an annual fee which is currently $450.00 per year. This covers the organization’s costs, which include meals served and meetings, the cost of the meeting rooms, speaker-related costs, holiday reception, printing, web site costs, etc.

Guest Fees

If a member brings a guest to one of the monthly meetings, there is a fee of $30.00 to recover the added costs to the group for additional attendees.
